I adore the way J. Herbin names its inks.  It provides a visual imagery of the shade subtly.  Diabolo Menthe, Peppermint Soda, is just as refreshing as its name.  It is definitely light, so it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.  It has been described as Tiffany Blue (Ladies, wouldn’t this be your dream color?), and it is somewhat similar to Caran d’Ache Caribbean Blue.  It even reminds me as a spring Easter egg color.

Thus far, this ink receives mixed reviews.  In my opinion, this color has a translucent quality to it, and it shades delicately with a broader nib.  Since I did not know what to expect, this ink really shows how light color ink can be just as nice, and vibrant, as its counterpart in darker hues.

  1. If you like the color but not satisfied with the quality (it is too translucent, drying slowly and so on) I would recommend you Diamine Marine. It is quite similar in color and imho better than Diabolo Menthe. I will publish the review in a few days. Loves from Istanbul
